A glimpse at March so far :D

We are playing a game called "Antiquity Quest."  Piper went out early, forcing us all to move faster than what we wanted to in the game (a good strategy for her).  We playfully grumbled against her.  In the final play, Dad mercifully played a nice card on Hava's.  We all "awwwww"-ed.

"Look, Piper!" I said.  "You inspire such kindness!"

"I'm like COVID," she replied as her eyes twinkled. "Everyone hates me but I inspire kindness."

Cha-ching!

Maia tried to give Lily one of the cards she made for her. She went up to the closed door, behind which Lily was putting Liesl to sleep by reading books.  When Maia tried the door it was locked.

"Lily must have locked the door," a disappointed Maia commented.

"Just slide it under the door," I consoled her.

Much later, Lily came out with a smile.

"When Maia said that I locked the door, Liesl turned to me and smiled. 'Lily didn't do it. Liesl did it!'"

Lol!  This girl is a riot.

"How long have you been there?"  This is the question I had to ask Xai, who popped up from under a pile of blankets adjacent to where I thought I was sitting alone. This kid is so funny! He is always laying placed under blankets, his slender frame taking up so little space we have no idea he is actually there :D.

Today, while Hyrum was rough housing with the little kiddies, he growled at Liesl. She indignantly responded "I'm not Kujo!"

Piper asked Liesl, "What's my name?"  "Piper"

"What's your name?"  "Liesl"

"What's Mom's name?"    "Mom"

"What's Daddy's name?"   "Quinn"

It has been quite the month!

I have tried to capture some of the funnies above, but so much has transpired.

1) We started some homeschooling groups: a choir, a play ("Louis Pasteur" the musical comedy, who knew?), a speech group and a kid's group for kids 8-12.  It has been a little crazy, but the kids are enjoying it.  Hyrum is our "Louis Pasteur," and we have about 8 other kids doing the groups besides my kiddos, a perfect amount for a starting group :D.

2) I went back to Medina for a few days last week to take Maia and Hava back for some dental work. We capitalized on the time by enjoying a dinner with the Zyborgs; mudding, taping, painting and cleaning the house; and packing up a bunch of the rest of our belongings to be towed in a trailer back to Ohio.

3) We have been doing a lot of improvements already on our property: clearing wood piles, replacing our old boiler, training our dogs, organizing our space to include the rest of our belongings and adding storage areas.  Love it!

4) There is a local climbing gym as well as some cool rock formations behind the local Wendy's that my kids have had fun exploring and climbing around.  Hyrum, Lily and Drew are negotiating life with a job at Wendy's--not the most favorite thing in the world, but it is a job :D.  Making it all work with one car is also tricky, but it seems to be working so far.

Piper and Hyrum are almost done with their Apologia Biology course.  Here was a fun experience dissecting flowers.
Maia and Nellie sporting the same up-do :D
My crazy Hearts hand while playing with Hyrum and Piper.

Piper and her art :D...
...and more art!
